Chaingang 2013

We will be kicking off chaingang again from Wednesday 10th April 2013. (Every Wednesday until late season)

Due to popular demand last year we ran 2 groups. Group 1 was around 22-23mph average ride speed and Group 2 was 19-21mph average ride speed. This year we envisage both those speeds will be higher due to most riders being fitter and stronger.

The chaingang starts at 1830 from West Wycombe and meanders down Slough Lane back onto the West Wycombe/Princes Risborough road for a short period until we turn left at the pub and hit the back roads to Risborough. We come out past the train station and ride down to the Longwick course and take the last left turn towards Towersey, through the lanes to Kingston Stert , Postcombe, Aston Hill and a blast home past Stoky and into West Wycombe. (there is an extra 4 mile loop come end of April when it’s lighter and warmer).

Tour de Wycombe 1 January 2012

Sunday’s club run is different to the usual format.

It being New Year’s Day, I’m not sure which cafes will be open, so, there will be no set cafe stop. We’ll hunt for coffee and cake, riding in a circuit of Wycombe, a Tour, a Vuelta, a Giro if you prefer.

We’ll start at the Guidhall at the usual time and follow, roughly, this route:

Sands
Lane End
Marlow
Cookham Dean
Hedsor
Cliveden
Holtspur
Beaconsfield
Knotty Green
Holmer Green
Little Kingshill
Great Missenden
Great Hampden
Princes Risborough.

Feel free to join in or drop out at any point.

If we have the time, the energy and the will we might extend our ride to Thame before heading back to town.
