Evening League 21-May-2013

Return to the Whiteleaf hilly course for the first time this year. More marshalls than riders, but great to see new riders out on the course.  Apologies that the standards are 14 miles, but that’s how far it was….

Back to the Longwick layby for the 11mile circuit course next week.

Marshalls for next week Malcolm Binns (signing on), Rebecca Jones, Jane Hunt, Chris Hacking, Steve Golla, Graham Armit, and Rebecca Sore. Continue reading Evening League 21-May-2013

HWCC Jack Pearson Memorial Open 25 TT Results

A big thank you to all those who helped at the HWCC Open 25.  It takes real commitment to the club to get up at such an early hour on a Sunday morning and stand about on a windy roundabout.

Your efforts have been appreciated as we have already received some very complimentary emails from riders.

Congratulations to the Wycombe riders, many were riding their first “25″, also the Ladies team who retained their title.

Full results are linked on the right.

What a ghastly evening in Longwick. Very well done to all the riders, and thanks to the marshalling team: Cynthia, Creighton, Gareth and the timekeepers.

No excuses for getting lost! Continue reading Evening League 14-May-2013

Evening League 07-May-2013

The official timekeepers have requested that riders place their numbers over the left rear pocket on jerseys, and call out their own number when passing. You will not get a faster time by calling out someone elses number….

Could Paul Gardner return number 18, and in general if all riders could return their numbers to Alasdair’s car at finish each week – makes it simpler you see!

Everyone is also reminded that there is a time trial on the Butlers Cross course on Sunday morning; First rider off at 08:31. 2 laps for Ladies, Juniors and Juveniles (12.5 miles). 3 laps for the Men (18.8miles). Meet at the Village Hall, Ellesborough, HP17 0TX. Full program is available here.

Next weeks marshalls are:

12 May 08:31 start: Jeff Roberts, Bob & Margaret Lambert, Nigel Croxford and Heather Golla

14 May 19:01 start: Gareth Batson (Signing on), Cynthia Kunschke and Creighton Varney

Evening League 30-April-2013

A few housekeeping items:

  • The official timekeepers have requested that riders place their numbers over the left rear pocket on jerseys, and call out their own number when passing. You will not get a faster time by calling out someone elses number….
  • Riders are reminded about the requirement to ride with a functioning red rear facing light. Points will be docked if it is noted that you are riding without one.
  • Please no warming up by riding through the start line after the event has commenced.

Next weeks marshalls are Malcolm Binns (signing on), Chris Hacking, Graham Armit, and Jane Hunt.

Reminder for riders that on the 12th May there is the first Chiltern Cup event on the Bultlers Cross course. Meet at the Village Hall, Ellesborough, HP17 0TX. First rider at 08:30am. Full program is available here.
