Riders and Santas helpers after the Boxing Day 10.5

A brave and hardy band of 17 riders rode this year’s Boxing Day Time Trial. Some Debutant riders, and some in fancy dress; only a few took it ‘serious’. Santa had a new sleigh this year (a Cervelo P2), a speedy lady in a Zentai suit (winner of fancy dress), a snowman (staying flexible in +11degC) and some chap on a trike.

The trial was run on the Longwick course, starting and finishing at the East end of the layby. Some fast times from old hands and some first time trialling from others. Well done to all the riders.

Particular thanks to Margaret and Gordon for organising the buffet and prize givings after; also to the marshalls and Alan (time keeper) without whom the race would not have been possible.
